Hi! I'm Katie; Christ follower, Forever Student of the Word, Wife, Mama, Home Maker, Home Educator, & Small Business Operator… and in all of these things that make up who I am, I need the love, mercy, grace, truth and Spirit of our Lord, day by day, hour by hour. And I'm simply here to encourage you to press into the Lord, as well… to build your house on the Rock, and to read the Word of God every day. Thank you so much for being here!

When we read God’s Word, when we sit with it or journal in response to it, sometimes there will be something that jumps off the pages at us. It could be a verse, a few verses, a phrase, one word… this happened to me recently while finishing up the book of John… it happened with two questions Jesus asked Mary when He rose from the grave and appeared to her… I needed those questions to be asked of me that day and I knew it would take more than the last few moments of my time sitting still before the day started to answer them. It would take the whole day to meditate on them, if not longer… what I’ve started doing when this happens, is to write the questions, phrase, or verse on a 3x5 card and put it in a prominent place where I will see it all day or take it with me if I go out. I am quick to forget what the Lord pressed upon my heart at the beginning of my day and this allows me to have my “quiet time” with Him never really end, it is a tangible way to be reminded of His Word and His presence in my life. Sometimes it is hard to be pulled away from the stillness, knowing the day’s tasks are calling our name. But! He goes with us, He doesn’t stay seated at the table of “Bible and coffee time”… He comes in to our day with us, ready to lead us and guide us and hold us up. He is so good to bring to remembrance the things we’ve read about Him in His Word. And gracious to us if we need to put it on a 3x5 card to remember it even better.

Here we have our 4x4 Prayer Cards… one is a prayer for before you read your Bible, one is to conclude your Bible reading time. They aren’t meant to replace your personal prayers, but could be helpful on the days you don’t know what or how to pray or they could be used as a launching pad. I like keeping them close in my Bible! You can find these in our “Welcome” email once you subscribe to our weekly-ish emails that we hope you find to be an encouragement! You can subscribe to these notes in our link tree or drop your email in our stories!
Father in Heaven,
One of my favorite things about God’s Word is that it contains EXCEEDINGLY GREAT & PRECIOUS promises for us (2 Peter 1:4).
Testimonials like these bring us SO much joy. We are so grateful that God is using the journals (that He gave us the idea for) in the lives of other people to draw them closer to Himself. It blesses our hearts so so much.
Job, through the very words out of God’s mouth and through his learned experience, he could say…
This is us! We are Nick, Katie, Jo, Ev, and Oly!
These are the Every Word Journal Prompts and the prompts that I use while journaling after my Bible reading. They are also printed in the front of each Every Word journal so that you always have them to refer back to.
